Rick Spurgin born and raised in the Midwest, has taken his talents to both coasts. His love for music started at a young age. He began actively performing as a high school student.
While attending Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts Rick entertained professionally around New England. He performed at local hot spots, on television shows and also worked as a studio musician.
His talents then took him across the United States to perform for the N.F.L. Super Bowl XXII reception in San Diego and then to Las Vegas where he entertained with his group at major hotels and casinos for eight years.
Rick is currently active with his band "Out of the Fire" and as a solo performer, songwriter and recording artist.
Rick has been a guitar instructor in Omaha since 2004. As a family man and father of six children, Rick is very patient and understands the importance of education and family. He has a large dedicated group of individual students as well as group lessons with the Guitar Explorer program. Rick’s lessons are both fun and challenging.
